Dear Mike:

Here are %2all%1 the comments. It turned out I was almost done,
so I decided to finish according to the original lines. Moreover, I don't
have your division of the essays into categories. I decided not to
comment on Arrow's paper.

Frankly, I would prefer to consider the job finished and be paid,
so let me suggest that your editor try to glue the comments together if
that is still wanted. In any case I would prefer to wait his reaction
before doing anything more, because there may be some changes to be made
rather uniformly - perhaps in the direction of making the comments more
impersonal. It's rather late, but if any author feels like obviating
any of my comments, I'll be glad to withdraw it. Otherwise, they can reply.

I hope you can still include the Lem piece. If you do, I'll
comment on it, because I have something in mind about how the science
fiction view of the world differs systematically from reality, and I am
curious to see whether it will also apply to Lem.

In case the editor is up to using modern technology, my comments
are successive pages in the PUB file STUDY.FS[W77,JMC] at SU-AI.
